About the Monthly 60

A Community of Practice for L&D practitioners: 60 minutes a month to fix real problems with real tools.

The Monthly 60 is a Community of Practice for learning practitioners who want less performative training and more “we fixed the actual problem.”

Give us 60 minutes a month.
You’ll leave with real talk, real tools, and one move you can use immediately (not a “great session!” glow that dies in your inbox).

Community of Practice + Networking (without the awkward)

Yes, we’re here to sharpen the craft.
And yes, we’re also here to meet smart L&D humans who don’t flinch at “measurement strategy” or “AI governance.”

What you’ll get:

  • Hear what others are really dealing with
  • Steal what’s working
  • Find your people (the ones who also think “add a quiz” isn’t a strategy)

Around the Horn, but make it L&D

We’re inspired by ESPN’s Around the Horn, which means:

  • We start on time
  • We end on time
  • Timed segments (high-signal, no “let’s circle back” spiral)

The rhythm (every month):

  • Enter the Room (15 min): networking + boosts (job seekers + hiring, we see you)
  • Confessions: what’s breaking / what you’re over it with
  • The Real Issue: name the root cause (not the symptom)
  • If It Worked: define “success” like a responsible adult
  • Tool Talk: what people are using right now
  • Flip the Model: the spicy reframe
  • Commit: one action you’ll do in the next 7 days

How to earn your Monthly 60

Rules of the Room

Green sticky note=come off mute and talk more about what you wrote

Lurkers are welcome but solicitations are not

You can complete your 60 minutes in two ways:

  1. Attend the live session: if you sign up, you'll get added to the invite for our live sessions on Zoom. We also use Mural to build our monthly topic canvas.
  2. Read + engage with the monthly drop (and the community discussion)

Either path counts. The goal is the same: less performative L&D, more work that holds up in reality.

If you’ve been looking for a place that’s smart, practical, and just spicy enough to keep it honest, welcome.

Join us. Bring your problems, leave with a solution.
